Richard Dinnick is the author of several stories for children and the Young Adult (YA) markets. He has written for many franchises popular with boys and girls including both BBC's Doctor Who, and MGM's Stargate.
Richard is the author of Doctor Who: The Underwater War (Penguin/BBC, 2011) which is aimed at 8- to12-year-olds as well as Dreamstorm, a fantasy book currently being placed by his agents.
As a father himself, Richard is very happy to visit schools and is relaxed with children; capable of engaging (without condescension!) with all primary school age groups.
He has a selection of talks he can give while on School Visits. These are based around monsters, writing in general (from journalism to authorship), writing Doctor Who and writing Comic Strips (which Richard has also undertaken for Doctor Who Adventures magazine).
Each presentation includes interaction with the children and is based upon the children's age or year group.
Richard's Author School Visits can be tailored to a half or full day.
If you would like to book Richard for a visit to your school, please email schools@richarddinnick.com.
